The Mira Costa, Redondo and South Torrance girls beach volleyball teams all advanced to the semifinals in the sport's inaugural CIF-Southern Section playoffs. In the Division 1 quarterfinals Tuesday, the Mustangs defeated Newport Harbor 5-0 and Redondo defeated Dos Pueblos 3-2. Saturday, Mira Costa will face Mater Dei at 11:30 in the semifinals at Long Beach City College. Redondo will take on JSerra in the other semifinal at 12:45 p.m. at LBCC. The semifinals winners will play in the final at 3:30 p.
